Elyria VFW Post #1079 will host the Lorain County Veterans and Families Health and Benefits Fair on March 29, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This is a free community event designed to connect you to valuable resources that are available to veterans of all ages, their spouses and families.

Over 30 vendor tables will contain information on services as well as other features like a barber giving free haircuts, free line dancing lessons for easy exercise, a “kids area” for children to enjoy, free blood pressure monitoring and to top it off, a free meal!

No registration is required.

The physical stretching and the holding of yoga poses is combined with breath work and relaxation techniques. It goes beyond physical fitness, and into the realm of healing both the body and mind. Yoga works by increasing body awareness while also increasing flexibility and strength.

Led by instructor Kristi Parker-Harrold, this low-impact exercise class will increase strength and range of motion and assist with activities of daily living. A variety of equipment will be utilized to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness levels.

Registration is not required. Come to one class or all of them!

This Zumba class is for all fitness levels. We welcome everyone to come and dance with us, including children ages 10 & up with a participating adult. No childcare is available – sorry for any inconvenience. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow a little slide – worn tennis shoes are perfect! You will want water and a towel because you will sweat, but have lots of fun doing it! There are restrooms on site that can double as changing rooms if coming straight from work.

Enter the building’s main doors and sign in at the indoor walking table. No cost to participate. All ages are welcome to attend, as well as people using wheelchairs and strollers. If school is canceled due to holiday or weather, indoor walking is also canceled.

Join the Elms Retirement Village and their licensed therapists for this FREE weekly exercise class, designed for those with Parkinson’s, but beneficial to all.

Participants report significant improvements in quality of life and functional independence. Exercise plans are adapted to all levels of function.
